Andrew H. Brewer VIRGINIA BEACH - Andrew Hughes Brewer, 60, passed away Dec. 28, 2010 in his home. A native of Suffolk, he was the son of the late Walter and Anne Brewer. He retired from the U.S. Navy as a chief petty officer after 23 years of service. He is survived by his sister, Ruth Anne Boone and husband Bobby of Portsmouth; his brother, Carl Brewer and wife Sandy of Lynchburg, Va.; two nieces, Elizabeth and Rebecca Brewer and four nephews, Michael Boone, Richard Boone, Robert Boone and Philip Brewer. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. Jan. 13, at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Red Cross. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.snellingsfuneralhome.com.
