There are a couple of errors on her birth certificate. Her father's name was Silas Allen, not Henry Allen. Martha Smith Andrus' second husband was Henry A. Reed and maybe that's where the confusion came from. Silas died before Jennie was born and Henry died young as well, so perhaps nobody remembered clearly once Jennie died. The probate records for John Andrus correctly have the names of Martha's husbands. And there is a probate record for Silas estate as well. Second, the birthdate couldn't be correct since Jennie had turned 13 by June 4, 1880 (census) and because Silas died in June, 1856. It's more likely that she was born on November 20, 1856.
