Mary Pearl Day, 78, of Springdale died August 8, 1993, at Springdale Memorial Hospital. She was born October 26, 1914, in Hindsville, the daughter of Charles and Annie Morehouse Shepherd. She was a charter member of the Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, the Reverend Tommy Day of the home and to whom she was married for 61 years; three sons, Elvin L. Day of Porterville, California, and Tommy L. Day and Charles A. Day, both of Springdale; two brothers, LeRoy Shepherd of Huntsville and Odie Shepherd of Hindsville; one sister, Eva Hays of Huntsville.
Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with the Reverends Bobby Shepherd, Lonnie Burks, and Ruedal Smith officiating. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Springdale.
