BIOGRAPHY: SWANGER, JOHN E, lawyer, educator, legislator, was born June 22, 1864, in Milan, Mo. For a number of years he taught school, was a superintendent of public schools for three years, and is now engaged in the practice of law at Milan Mo. In 1892 he was elected to the Missouri slate legislature and received re-election in 1894.
