Alfred Blaine (Al) Stucki

Passed away Sunday, Dec 26, 2010 in Brigham City, surrounded by loved ones.

Al was born 28 November 1932 in Cedar City, Utah to Alfred Christian and Cora Jones Stucki.

Al was raised on a farm/sheep ranch in Cedar Valley, attending Cedar City Schools. He joined the Air Force at Age 17 and served for four years during the Korean War.

He attended Utah State University, where he met the love of his life Sharon Carter, daughter of Gordon and Eldora Hirschi Carter. They were married in Park Valley, Utah on 21 Dec 1957.

Al graduated in 1958 with a BS degree in Electronics Engineering. He began his career in Aerospace Engineering Boeing Seattle, WA (son Mike born); Hughes Aircraft Tucson, AZ (daughter Kim born); Martin Mountain Home ID; Hughes Aircraft Los Angeles, CA; Lockheed Sunnyvale CA (son Brett born).

In April 1966, the Family made their final move to Brigham City, Where AL was employed by Thiokol Corp.

Al found his dream job at Thiokol Astro-Met in Ogden. He designed, tested, and then rocket-launched equipment to measure upper-atmospheric properties. During his career, he was awarded to patents.

Al was preceded in death by: his better half, Sharon; his Parents: brothers Sheldon and Lloyd; and sisters Mary and Louise (Peterson)
He is survived by a sister Eva Guyette: Children: Mike (Trudy), Kim (Jeff) Christensen, and Brett (Ann): 11 grandchildren; 4 Great-grandchildren and Charlie.
