Enlisted in Company E, 103rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry in Cleveland, OH, Aug. 12, 1862; mustered out June 12, 1865.
Applied for invalid pension, Mar. 6, 1891 in IL but it was not issued. Cemetery records were burned up in a fire in the early 1970s but he has a military headstone in a plot with 20 other vets in Section H. His name is on Panel #14 in the Cuyahoga County Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, Public Square, Cleveland, OH.

Gravesite Details

The headstone was purchased by the U.S. Government from the Stockbridge Marble Company, Stockbridge, MA, under the contract of May 29, 1900.
