Thomas E. 'Pap' Seasoltz, 82, Altoona, died Mon., Dec. 27, 2010 at home after a courageous battle with an aggressive form of ALS. He was born in Altoona to Harry K. & Cecelia G. (Weamer) Seasoltz. He married Elizabeth T. Bott on April 11, 1953, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altoona. Survived by wife; son, Robert T. (Becky) of Altoona; a daughter, Mary Ann Tilyou (Dr. Mark E.) of Hollidaysburg; 6 grandchildren: Kristen Gibbons, Joseph Gibbons, Matthew Gibbons (Carly), Zachary Imler, Thomas Seasoltz and Tiffany Seasoltz; a brother, James P. of Altoona; and a sister, Connie Fowler of St. Petersburg, FL. Predeceased by sister, Madelyn. Thomas was a 1946 graduate of Altoona High School and Altoona Area Vo-Tech School in welding. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in France. He retired in 1991 as the head mechanic from the Altoona City Authority after 38 years of service. Active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church; Unter Uns; Swiss Rifle Club and Bavarian Aid Society. Pap was a great cook and enjoyed gardening, shopping, hunting, fishing and attending his grandchildren's sporting events, especially at Bishop Guilfoyle. Stevens Mortuary, Altoona.
