SOUTH BEND - Beulah M. Green, 91, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, December 25, 2010. She was born on May 31, 1919, in West Pointe, Mississippi, to the union of Julius and Delia Hamilton. She had lived in Mississippi until the age of 12 and then moved to South Bend, Indiana. Later in life she met and married Osceola Green. To this union nine children were born, seven surviving. Beulah was a kind and loving person who loved traveling, gardening, watching cooking shows, and loved going to the casino. Beulah retired from Memorial Hospital after 10 years of service in 1979. All who knew her loved her and called her "Mother" or "Granny." She never said a harsh word to anyone. She made the lives of others who knew her richer. Beulah is survived by her children, Richard (Connie), Bernard (Birdie), Dennis, Karen and Keith Green, all of South Bend, Jacqueline (Stanley) Thompson of Chicago, Illinois, Vernetta (George) Smith of Romulus, Michigan; son-in-law, Donald Wallace of Cassopolis, Michigan; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Geneva Davis of Niles, Michigan; brother, Eddie Hamilton of South Bend, Indiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband, Osceola Green; a daughter, Patricia Wallace; and a son, Thomas Green. Deceased siblings are Charlie B., Horace, Garfield and Annabelle Hamilton.
