He was born March 12, 1914 in Keith County, Neb., the son of Frank and Amanda Rangner Anderson.
He graduated from Ogallala, Neb. High School and Iowa State College. Forest was married on May 1, 1943 in Waterloo to Ruth M. Strotman of Waverly. He worked for Creamery Package Company of Waterloo and Midwest Food Supply. In 1967, the couple bought the Taste Freeze Drive Inn in LaPorte City, which they owned and operated until retiring in 1976. He was member of the Knights of Colombus.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; one brother and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
