He was born January 8, 1921 in Thorney, Arkansas the son of John Wesley Hill and Lillie May Faulkner Hill.
He served in the United States Army during World War II in Italy and South Africa as a medic. He retired from Fayetteville V.A. Hospital as a orderly after 31 years of service.
Voyd was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Dean Short Hill, brother, Vird Ray Hill, sisters, Helen Hill Rogers and Goldie Hill Eubanks.
He is survived by his daughter, Wanda Hill of Lewisville, Texas; a nephew and several nieces.
Funeral Services were 2:00 P.M. Friday at Beard's Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jasper Hankins officiating.
Burial was in Mt Olive Cemetery.
