Funeral Services for Jack D. Chaney, 64, of Chickasha, will be held Friday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kim Hayes officiating.
Jack D. Chaney was born Feb. 12, 1936 in Tishomingo, the son of Richard Chaney and Margaret Viola Smith Chaney. He died Tuesday, Feb 15 in Chickasha. Jack came to Chickasha from Tishomingo as a teenager, attending Chickasha Public Schools.
He married Harriet Louise Smith on Dec. 30, 1955 in Chickasha.
Jack owned and operated Commercial Music Co. and was partners in owning and operating Chickasha Aviation Center for 15 years. He served in the U. S. Navy for four years. Following his tour of duty he and Louise made their home in Chickasha. Jack was a member of the Chickasha Elks Lodge.
He was preceded in death by both parents and one brother, Harvey Baughman.
Survivors include his wife, Louise of the home; two sons and daughter-in-law, Richard Chaney and Dennis and Julie Chaney, all of Chickasha; one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Mark Hatchett of Chickasha; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie Clements of Chickasha, Marie and Russ Albright of Twenty Nine Palms, Calif. and Wanda and Ken Brinsfield of Blanchard; one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Mildred Chaney of Chickasha; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
