MARTINEZ, GA - Janet Lucille Sprout Danner was released into the arms of Jesus on the 28th of March, 2007 at Doctor's Hospital, Augusta Georgia. She was so loved by so many people in the Augusta area and she loved them equally as well.

Janet is survived by her: husband, William M. Danner, Martinez, Georgia; daughter, Kyra Danner Lewis and husband John, Simpsonville, South Carolina; granddaughter, Emma Claire Lewis; father, Audice Lee Sprout and wife Evelyn, Hephzibah, Georgia; and brother, James Lee Sprout and wife Dotty Estep Sprout, Evans, Georgia. Other survivers include niece and nephews, Diana Sprout Zerga, neice, Nevada; James Lee Sprout, Jr., nephew, Nevada; Andrew Estep-Sprout, nephew, Evans, Georgia; 2 grand-neices and 1 grand-nephew, all of Elko, Nevada. Additionally, she is survived by her paternal first cousin, Darrel Reed Sprout, and his wife Christine, and their 2 children, Weirton, West Virginia.

Janet was preceded in death by her mother, the late Emma Pauline Hawkins Sprout.

Mrs. Danner was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, where she lived with her parents on "The Island". She came to Augusta Georgia with her family in 1962. She was a 1968 graduate of Academy of Richmond County, Augusta, Georgia and later attended Kerr Business College, Augusta. She was formerly employed with Wren Optical, Augusta, Georgia. On 08 Jan 1972, Janet married her husband, William and she served her country faithfully and honorably as the wife of a U.S. Army service member. Other employers in the CSRA were Joe M. Rogers Construction Company, builder of Aiken County Hospital, Aiken South Carolina; Life of Georgia, Augusta; and Gorham Bronze, Aiken, South Carolina.

At the time of her death, she was employed as a Senior Support Specialist with Georgia Power Company's Meter Division and had formerly held the position of Customer Service Representative with the same company.

Janet was a former member of Curtis Baptist Church, Augusta; New Hope Christian Center, Martinez; and New Covenant Christian Center, Augusta.

Graveside services were held Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Rev. Larry Cone officiating.

Family and friends assembled at the grave. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were employees of Georgia Power Company. Thomas L. King Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The family received friends at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested memorial contributions to be made in memory of Janet at the American Cancer Society, 2623 Washington Rd., Suite 104, Augusta, Georgia 30904. A guestbook accompanied the obituary and is available on-line at Legacy.com.
