R. P. McNair has a CSA pension application on line in the GA archives virtual vault. He says he enlisted in the Spring of 1863 at New Port, Fl and served with Company D of the 5th Florida Cavalry. He served until the unit surrendered near Tallahassee, Fl after the war closed.
