Edgar Leo Ramey, 67, Newnan, Georgia, died August 27, 2000 with Parkinson
Disease. He was born October 20, 1932 in Hopkins, Texas. He was an Air Force
Veteran, retiring in 1970 as a Technical Sergeant. He worked in Dyess, Texas in
civil service for five years and managed a convenience store for 10 years. He
moved to Georgia in 1998.

Survivors include daughters, Candy Lacey and Penny Engard, both of Peachtree
City, GA, Annette Drawdy, Newnan, GA, and Jamie Cofield, San Antonio, Texas; six
grandchildren, one great-grandchild; brothers, Grady Ramey, San Antonio, and
Edwin L. Ramey, Lubbock, TX; and sisters, Dorothy Thompson, Wimberly, TX, Ruth
Chambers, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Geraldine Underwood, Hilltops Lake, TX.

Memorial services were at the View Baptist Church, Abilene, Texas with Rev.
Roger Duck officiating. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, GA,
was in charge.
