Mr. Maroney was born in Batesburg, SC to the late Mary Cornelia and Boyd Maroney. He was a veteran of the Air Force. He loved fishing and hunting. He was a member of Amick Grove Holiness Church.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Christina Danielle (Juliano G) Avigliano of Charlotte, NC; brother and sister-in-law, John (Peggy) Maroney of Batesburg; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy (Bryson) Cockrell of Batesburg; Brenda (Bugsy) Kalbfleisch of Saluda; grandchild, Giovanni Avigliano. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and two brothers, Jerry and Phillip Maroney.
The family will receive friends from 6:00â€'8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at the home of his sister, Judy Cockrell, 269 Old Golf Course Road, Batesburg, SC 29006.
