John E. Bernard, age 93, of Canton passed away Monday at his home. Born in Salem he was the son of the late Michael and Mary Bernard.
Mr. Bernard was a farmer who hunted and trapped. He was a member of St. Mary's Church of Salem. Mr. Bernard is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Miller; his son, Michael Bernard & wife Janice of Lower Alloway's Creek; his daugther, Mary Esposito & husband Robert of Forked River, NJ; sister, Louise Centifonte of Woodbury; grandchildren, Regina Whitlock & husband Donald, Robert Esposito Jr., Andrew Bernard Esposito, Bethany Bernard, Betsy Settelen & husband Scott and ViAnna Bernard; and one great grandchild, Jack Whitlock.
Graveside services will be held 12:00 noon Friday, April 9th in St. Mary's Cemetery, Walnut Street, Salem.
