Resided in Surry, Georgetown MI, Acworth and Keene. Selectman in Acworth, on the school board, and councilman in Keene, represented his ward in General Court 1905-1906. A member of constitutional convention at Concord, 1918 and 1921. A soldier of the Civil War. Married in Keene 6/29/1964 Ellen Maria Carpenter, dau. of William Carpenter of Surry. They moved from Surry to Georgetown, MI (that part now within the township of Allendale), in March 1866; returned to NH Nov. 1870; resided in Acworth 1871-1887, and since that time in Keene.
