Edward M. Massengill, retired farmer, died of a heart attack Sunday at his home near Enville. He was 75.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday afternoon at the Sweetlips Baptist Church. The Rev. Onie Blankenship of Lexington will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Casey Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Massengill was born and reared in Chester Co., the son of the late Jasper and Mattie Patterson Massengill. He was married in 1903 to Miss Lou Massengill. They had made their home near Enville where he was engaged in farming. He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church.

Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Odus Massengill and Walter Massengill of Henderson; seven daughters, Mrs. Esther Noels of Jackson, Mrs. Beulah Plunk, Mrs. Lurie Plunk and Mrs. Faye Goff, all of Finger, Mrs. Erie Owen of Enville, Miss Pearl Massengill of Boliver and Mrs. Inetha Bullman of Henderson; a brother, Bennie Massengill of Enville; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Roby of Armory, Miss., and Mrs. Ethel Fuqua of Columbus, Miss.
