Mrs. I.T. Harrell, 87, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Milton Baker, on the Fort Hood Highway. Funeral Services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist Church with Rev. Nolan M. Fisher, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. Fred McGehee, pastor of the Nolan Valley Baptist Church. Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery.
Pallbearers were nephews, Ollie Allamon, Herman Ferrell, Roy Lambert, D.M. Allamon, Gerald Allamon of Austin, and T.E. Allamon. Heartfield Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Harrell was born Jessie Allamon on February 10, 1872, in Ohio, and came to Texas in childhood. She was a graduate of Thomas Arnold College in Salado, and taught school in Bell County for a number of years.
She was married January 11, 1907, in Holland, to I.T. Harrell who died in 1958. She was a member of the Methodist Church and was active in church work as long as her health permitted.
Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Baker, Mrs. Gran Wallace, and Mrs. Tommie Smith, all of Belton. Three brothers: E.J. Allamon of Belton; T.E. Allamon of Salado; Roy Allamon of Ballinger. Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
