Elizabeth Stafford Hutchinson, age 90, of Palestine, Texas died December 25, 2010, at her home. Burial in Palestine City Cemetery, East Hill section was under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home of Palestine. She was born November 28, 1920, the daughter of the late Seymour Seagler Stafford and Annie English. She was a longtime Washington, D.C. social figure with ties to every presidential administration since Dwight David Eisenhower's. She attended every presidential inauguration since 1953. Hutchinson was a founding member, trustee, past secretary, and vice president emerita (since 1994) of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Everett Hutchinson; and son, Stafford Hutchinson in 2004. She is survived by her daughter Ann Hutchinson Slattery; granddaughter, Chantal Slattery; and great granddaughter Sofia Ann Slattery.
