"THURMAN - ESTEL P., 80, died at his home in Dayton, Tenn., early Friday morning. He was a member of the Victory Baptist Church. He was the son of the late James and Mary Curley Thurman. Survived by his wife, Mrs. Flora Worthington Thurman, Dayton; three daughters, Mrs. Mamie Thurman, Dayton; Mrs. Naomi Thurman, McDonald, Tenn.; Miss Lois Thurman, Dayton; one son, Glenn Thurman, Spring City; several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Sawyers Chapel with the Rev. D. H. Swafford officiating. burial in Smyrna Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. The body will remain at the funeral home. Sawyers Funeral Home, Dayton, in charge."
