Dana, 65, of St. Louis, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, at the Masonic Pathway in Alma.
A Memorial service for Dana was held on Friday, December 31, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel with Floyd Coon officiating.

Dana was the son of Don Veril and Alberta Rae (Foster) Hillard. He married his wife Madaline Esch-McLaughlan on July 27, 1963 at St. Henry Catholic Church.
Dana retired after working over 25 years as an Asbestos Insulation installer. He was a member of the Union Local 47 out of Saginaw.
Dana is survived by his wife, Madaline; children, Eugene Allan Hilliard of Coleman, Dana Dawn (John "David") Catlin of Milton, PA, and Deborah Sue Schafer (Allen) of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Autumn Marie Hilliard, Benjamin David Catlin, Rebecka Catlin, Kristi Wonsitler, David Wonsitler, Karla Harman, and Kyle Harman; great-grandchildren, Victoria Smith, Alexander Haswill, and Ava Wonsitler; brothers, Dennis (Denise) Hilliard of FL and Robert Lee (Sharon) Hilliard of Auburn; sister, Carmen Kay Tolman of Sanford; and many nieces and nephews.
Dana was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Foster; and brother-in-law, Steven Tolman.
