Mrs. Jas. Monroe died this morning at her home on North Second Street after a lingering illness of Bright's disease. Deceased was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, February 3, 1855, but had lived in Clinton for the past 27 years. She leaves a husband and two sons, Thomas and James O., and two daughters, Mary and Agnes; also a sister, Mrs. Jas. Sheppard, and a brother, Thomas H. Spaulding, all of this city. The funeral arrangements have not het been made.

The funeral services over the remains of the late Mrs. Monroe will be held from St. Patrick's church at 9'oclock tomorrow morning, followed by interment in St. Mary's Cemetery.
