Actor. Born Robert Shaen Dawe in Yonkers, New York, he played many character roles in movies and on television. He began his career appearing in a succession of theater productions and made his movie debut in "Keep ‘Em Rollin" (1934). A veteran of over a 150 films, his credits include "The Dakota Kid" (1951), "Murder is My Beat" (1955), "North by Northwest" (1959), "Son of Flubber" (1963), "Tora! Tora! Tora!" (1970) and "The Four Deuces" (1976). For television, he appeared on many shows and was best remembered for the role of police investigator Bill Henderson on the series "The Adventures of Superman" in the 1950s. He died at the age of 92 in Woodland Hills, California.
