Mrs. E.T. Clements Heart Victim
Funeral services for Mrs. E.T. Clements, 57, who died at her home here last Tuesday morning, were held last Wednesday afternoon at the Baptist church with the pastor, Rev. B.A. Winburn officiating, assisted by Rev. T.A. Moseley.
Although Mrs. Clements has been in ill health for several months, she was apparently as well as usual when stricken with a heart attack from which she never rallied. Mrs. Clements was reared in Greene county but the family moved here to reside about 30 years ago. Before her marriage she was Miss Evie Bruce of Greensboro. She was a member of the Baptist church.
Surviving are her husband E. T. Clements and one daughter Mrs. Wiley Lindsey; two grandchildren Joyce Lytle and Henry Thomas Lindsey; two brothers Alvie Bruce of Greensboro and Jesse Bruce of Dublin; two sisters, Mrs. Dan Copeland and Mrs. Alvie Channell, both of Tennille.
Interment was in Zeta cemetery. Active pall bearers were W.E. Anderson, Ernest Joiner, Hal Boatright, A.C. Tyson, J.G. Boyd and Sumner Marchman. Honorary, Bernard Johnson, W.G. Purvis, L.H. Johnson, A.C. Wellburn, and E.D. Horton.
M. and M. Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
