John was the son of John and Mary Ann (Mitchell) Timperley, the husband of Rebecca Ann (Wertz) and the brother of George, Sarah, Mary, Thomas Poole, Jane Plant, Alice Marion, Albert, Edward Abbott, Phoebe, Walter Willis, Clarence Lee and Frank Hoen. John and Rebecca had 9 children--Otis, Nellie, Judson (J.W.), Adella, John LeRoy (Roy), Mary, Chester, Van and Charles. He is buried next to his wife Rebecca and near his parents and many other family members in Mt. Hope.
