PFC Charles H. Nail, husband of Lucile Nail of El Reno, was born May 9, 1920 at Wanette. He entered the service at Oklahoma City on Dec. 19, 1942 and trained at Camp Howze TX and Camp Claiborne LA. PFC Nail served 15 months in the ETO with the 84th Div., participating in the battles of the Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was discharged Dec. 8, 1945 and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge, EAME Medal w/3 Bronze Stars, Victory Medal, America Theater Medal and 2 Certificates of Merit.
