Paul was born on July 25, 1924 in Durant, OK at 909 West Evergreen to Frank Pierce Stewart and Dorcas Malinda Looney Stewart. He passed away in West Monroe, LA, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center, and entered into God's Kingdom December 19, 2010. He attended public schools and Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK. He graduated from Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State University) in 1948 majoring in Architectural Engineering. Mr. Stewart was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Editor of one yearbook, served on the newspaper staff, and President of Student Senate.


Paul moved to Ouachita Parish to work for Smith, Padgett, and Stubbs Architects and in 1954 founded the firm of Paul F. Stewart Architect. Today that same firm exists as Architecture Associates Inc. Paul was licensed in 15 states. Paul's projects included shopping centers, office buildings, churches, banks, schools, and many finer homes in Northeast Louisiana.


He is preceded in death by his parents, and three siblings, Sara Jo Stober, Anna Lou Park, and Donald Lee Stewart and by his niece, Nelda Massey Davis.



Survivors include his sister, Betty Bob Massey of Fort Worth, TX; nieces, Linda Park Rice of West Monroe, LA, Virginia "Ginger" Dulworth of Garland, TX, Nancy Massey Sommerman of Dallas, TX, Donna Stewart Bogard of Beaver Creek, OH, Lynne Stewart Angulo of West Chester, OH, and Dyvonne Stober Korza of Phoenix, AZ; nephews, Stewart Park of White Settlement, TX, Gary Massey of Fowler, CA, Roger Stewart of Cupertino, CA, and Doug Stober of Bakersfield, CA; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
