Ada "Faye" Brockman, 78, of Independence, MO left this earth on December 24, 2010. She was born June 1, 1932 to William and Rosa Looney. Faye was a retired nurse and professional caregiver. In her nursing career she worked at the Osteopathic Hospital in Kansas City, MO and as a private nurse for doctor's offices. Faye had been a member of Six Mile Baptist Church since the early 1960's. Faye is survived by her husband of 64 years, Gene Brockman of the home. She is also survived by her five children: Michael (Steffany) Brockman, Dennis (LaNita) Brockman, Susan Willis, Mark (April) Brockman, and Jeff (Mary) Brockman; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and two sisters: Lula Wright and Emma Mulkey. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, William and Rosa Looney, sister, Eula Smith, and brother, Lonnie Looney. Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and nurse. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 29 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence. Burial at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 PM Tuesday at the Chapel.
