ALLGOOD, CLINTON B. — Clinton B. Allgood of Geneva passed away at the Fillmore County hospital in Geneva, March 26, 1969 at the age of 77 years and 24 days. He had been in ill health several years.
He was born in Otoe county, Nebraska, March 2, 1892, a son of E. F. and Margaret Helms Allgood. He was married to Naomi Shore at Kansas City, Mo., September 24, 1918. They made their home in Auburn, Neb., until 1944, when they moved to Geneva, where he was a meat cutter for Safeway store and Geneva Locker until his retirement in 1959.
He was a member of the United Methodist church of the Masonic order.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Naomi; his parents, two sons and one granddaughter, three sisters and two brothers.
Surviving are three sons, SM/Sgt. W. G. (Bill) of Sumter, S. C., now serving in Vietnam, CPO E. F. (Frank) of Deptford, N. J. and Charles F. of Fairmont; five daughters, Mrs. Harold (Mae) Skrdla of Grand Island, Mrs. Harry (Bonnie) Livings of Davenport, Mrs. Robert (Lettie) Schulz of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Don (Shirley) Ward of Fairmont and Mrs. LaVern (Geraldeen) Daniels of Bloomfield, two sisters and one brother; 24 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by the Kritner-Farmer funeral home in Geneva at 2 p. m. Saturday, March 29, with Rev. K. Orlando Lee officiating. Mrs. Harold Rosenau, accompanied by Mrs. Norval Lomax, sang “Beyond the Sunset” and “In the Garden.” Pallbearers were Virgil Able, Cleo, Dean and Jack Allgood, Carl Kimball and William McArthur. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
