James E "J E " Rauls, 69 of the Pansy Community, Cleveland County, died February 24, 1995 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

Born, July 9, 1925, at Herbine, Cleveland County, Arkansas, he was a son of the late Barney and Carrie Rauls.

He was a member of Bethel Number 2 Missionary Baptist Church at Herbine, Cleveland County, Arkansas, and a retired farmer and carpenter.

Survivors include his wife whom he married on December 23, 1945, Eva Mae Shelby Rauls, a son: Paul Rauls of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, four daughters; Wanda Rauls Drake Huckaby, Kay Raul Brown, Shelley Rauls Social all of Pansy, and Beverly Rauls Sanders of Warren, Arkansas, five brothers: Larry Rauls and Marvin Rauls both of Woodlawn, Cleveland County, Roy Rauls and W. C. Rauls, both of Warren, and Johnny Rauls of Star City, five sisters; Virgie Rauls Tucker, of Pine Bluff, Dorothy Rauls Hobson of North Little Rock, Linda Rauls Weast of Star City, Mary Helen Rauls Bradley of Rye, Cleveland County and Juanice Rauls Butler of Cleburne, Texas, 16 grandchildren, and a great grand child.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p. m. at Bethel Number 2 Missionary Baptist Church at Herbine, Cleveland County, with Rev. Harold Richardson and Rev. Lindell Selvey officiating.

Burial will follow at the Rowell Cemetery, Cleveland County, by Buie Funeral Home of Rison, Arkansas.
