The following information was provided by Craig Connolly:

Born in Austin Texas to a prominent and respected family, Dick Bull was the second eldest son. The family resided at 308 East 7th Street in Austin, Texas. He studied at Texas A&M for two years before joining the U.S. Army to serve in First World War. He completed Army Radio School at Camp Lee Virginia and returned home on leave to visit family. He arrived sick only to die of Spanish Influenza a few days later. His father had died suddenly of the same disease on the 6th of October only thirteen days, before.

I know this, because my Grandfather, John M. Connolly, served in the Army with Dick Bull and they were boyhood friends. He spoke of him often and I remember the name from my childhood. The Castleman-Bull family home still stands in Austin and is one of the few structures left which predates 1875. It was moved to Red River Street across from the Austin Convention Center and the city is in the process of restoring it. My family has some pictures of them in the Army, I will scan some and contribute them as soon as I am able.
