Lucy E Grant 93, passed away Feb. 8, 2010. Survived by her children, Manuel (Alice) Ortega of Stockton, Calif., Delores Herrera of Pueblo; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by her special friend, Esther Iverson. She was preceded in death by her daughter, four sons and her son-in-law. Lucy was born July 19, 1916, in Red Wing, Colo., to Casamirrillo and Delphina Arjamillo. She organized many potluck dinners for the Mineral Palace Towers, taught Sunday school classes at Central Baptist Church and loved doing crafts as well as being involved in many craft shows. Lucy was voted second place in the 2002 Silver Queen competition at the West Winds Nursing Home. Lucy will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Viewing, 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Funeral service, 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Pastor David Duque officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
