When George Adam Evilhare emigrated, he sailed from the port of Harve, France on the ship Rhine, and he arrived in New York on April 28, 1851. At the time, he was a 28-year-old stone mason named Georg Uebelher. By 1860, George was married to Louisa Brunner, the daughter of Balzer Brunner and Mary Stalfer. Together they had the following children: Carrie, Joseph Augustus, Franklin, Rosetta, Amelia, Caroline, Lillian Sophia (my great grandmother), Mary Ann, Henrietta, and Louisa.
When George died at age 81, his funeral was held at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Williamsport, PA. George is my maternal great, great grandfather.
