Anne M. Pomajzl, 78, of Wilber, died Saturday, November 8, 1997 at St. Elizabeth Community Health Center in Lincoln.

She was born August 9, 1919 to Adolph J. and Anna B. (Slapnicka) Brchan on the family farm northeast of Wilber. She grew up in the Crete and Wilber area. She attended Wilber High School and graduated from Crete High School in 1937. She worked at the Crete Mills. She was married March 28, 1939 to William Pomajzl at the Wilber Methodist Parsonage. They lived in Crete, Wilber, Lincoln, and Long Beach, California. They made their home for 46 years on the farm west of Wilber.

She was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge 389 of Saline County.

She is survived by her husband, William Pomajzl of Wilber; son and companion, William E. Pomajzl and Karen Hahn of Dallas, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne F. and Harold I. Wilson of Madison, Tennessee; Sandra K. and Ronald Looking Elk of Beatrice; Heather D. and Wayne Leibert of Grand Island; grandchildren, Pamela S. and Joseph Tvaroch of Madison, Tennessee; Marc A. Wilson and fiancée Camille Beech of Madison, Tennessee; David M. and Elizabeth Pomajzl of Dallas; Christopher S. Pomajzl of Dallas; and Demien A. Looking Elk of Crowley, Colorado; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Ann Tvaroch, Roger William Leibert, and brother Adolph Brchan of Long Beach, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services were held November 11 at Zajicek Funeral Home in Wilber with the Rev. Paul Quackenbush officiating. Soloist was Elmer Nemec accompanied by DeEtta Feeken. Interment was at the Wilber Czech Cemetery.

Memorials are to the Arthritis Foundation in lieu of flowers.
