Ms. Marguerite King, age 89, of Detroit, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010 at the residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Detroit United Methodist Church, with burial in Kingsville Cemetery. Bro. Greg Cook and Bro. Ben Roundtree will be officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M.
Active pallbearers will be: Daryl Thompson, Larry Williams, Harry Northington, Rex Dalton, Todd Hudson & Kenneth Cooper.
Ms. King was born September 9, 1921 in Magnolia, AL to the late Van and Bessie Morning Mendenhall. She was a member of Detroit United Methodist Church. Ms. King was a graduate of Magnolia High School and also a graduate of Livingston University, now University of West Alabama. She taught school at Hamilton Middle School. Ms. King enjoyed crocheting and quilting.
