Jesse Eldred was born on September 16, 1914 to Jesse Franklin Watson and Pearl Ann McCullough. On September 15, 1934, he married Laura Mae Woolsey, daughter of Edward Windfield Woolsey and Emma Alice Green, in Gustine, Texas. They had three children; Jesse Edward(1935), Frances Verdell(1941) and Clarence Arnold(1943).

He was employed by REA. Was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Comanche. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army Air Corps. He lived most his life in Comanche, Texas. He did live in San Angelo, Tom Green Co Tx for a while as that is where his last child was born. He had one brother, Hoyt Watson.

He died after a short illness at Comanche Community Hospital. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He will be buried in Oakwood Cemetery.
