NICKELSVILLE - Joseph W. Adddington, 94, died in Holston Valley Community Hospital in Kingsport Wednesday morning after a brief illness. A retired farmer, he was born in Scott County and attended the Primitive Baptist Church here. Surviving are sons Clarence B. and Willard Addington and a brother, Garfield Addington, all of Nickelsville: six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Joseph W. Addington of Nickelsville, who died Wednesday at the age of 94, will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. in the Scott County Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. James Kilgore and Rev. Roy Kilgore will officiate. Burial will be in the Addington family cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Scott County Funeral Home Thursday evening form 7 to 9 p.m. The Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City, Va., is in charge.
