Almas, 84, West Dodge Street,
Greenville, died suddenly on
Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at
United Memorial Hospital.
He was b om July 23, 1914, in
Cheboygan County, the son of
Herbert and Melvina Hoyt Almas.
He married Beatrice Miller on
March 6, 1934, at the Methodist
parsonage in Edmore. She preceded him in death on Aug. 19,1994.
Herbert was employeed as an electrician at the Ranney Refrigeration
Co. for many years, retiring in 1976. He attended Greenville
Church of the Nazarene. He was a helpful friend at the Friendship
House, Greenville, and enjoyed
He is survived by one son and
daughter-in-law , Roger and Vera
Almas of Greenville, his grandchildren

Jay and Cheryl Almas, Mark and
Rhonda Almas, all of Cedar
Springs, Tammy and Nathaniel
Loew of Grand Rapids; 13 greatgrandchildren and three great great-grandchildren; his sisters-law and brother-in-law, Charles
and Rosemary Miller, Hilda Miller
and Genevieve Zeigler, all of Greenville.
He also was preceded in death
by one sister Amy Gross.
Funeral services will be
Saturday at . 11 a.m. at the Hurst
Funeral Home, Greenville, with
Pastor John Barker of the Nazarene
Church officiating. Burial will be in
Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.
Visitation will be Friday from 7
to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
