Katherine Marie Purdy, 81, of Little Rock, died Saturday, October 30, 2004 at Baptist Hospital.



She was born July 17, 1923 in McCrory to the late Ben L. Taylor Sr. and Ila V. West Taylor and was also preceded in death by a brother Ben L. Taylor Jr. and her husband Arthur M. Purdy.



Katherine retired from K-Mart in Little Rock after many years of employment as a customer services representative.



Survivors include two sons, Bill Melton and his wife Janice of Conway, Milton Ray Purdy and his wife Denise of Little Rock, a daughter, Suzette Jones and her husband Carl of Conway, five grandchildren, Tanya Milton of Conway, Chris Jones of Georgia, Brian Casey of Florida, Amber Luckey and Ben Casey both of Little Rock, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at the Roller-McNutt Chapel in Conway with her son Milton Ray Purdy officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest Hills Cemetery in Little Rock. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at the funeral home.
