Quincy Lee Allison, 89, of Tuscola died at 6:55 p.m. Friday (Dec. 24, 2010).
He was born on Dec. 31, 1920 in Newton, Il. to Harry and Clara McCoy Allison. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, son Stephen and grandson Troy. He married Joyce Portlock on Oct. 5, 1941 in Newton. She survives.
Survivors also include one son, James Allison of Lincoln; two daughters, Melody Barber of Tuscola and Mary Ogden of Tuscola; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He served in the U.s. Army during World War II in central Europe with the 284th Engineer Combat Battalion.
