Dwight E. Turner, 37, of Newark died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at his residence following a sudden illness. He was born Nov. 19, 1965, in Parkersburg, a son of Robert H. Turner Sr. and Harriett C. (Jones) Turner of Parkersburg.

He had been employed with Pepsi Cola Corp. for more than 10 years as a distribution driver in the Parkersburg, Marietta and Wirt County areas. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

He is survived by one daughter, Janaya of Newark; one son, Draeden of Cambridge, O.; three brothers, Richard D. "Darryl" Turner and wife, Leisa, of Mineral Wells, William M. "Bill" Turner and wife, Ruth, of Parkersburg and Robert H. "Bob" Turner Jr. and wife Kathy, of Arizona; two sisters, Marcia E. Cox of Davisville and Rhena Turner of Columbus, O.; three uncles Joseph Jones and wife, Joyce, of Porterfield, O., Charles Turner and wife Ada and Edward Jones, all of Parkersburg; three aunts, Rose Payne of Columbus, Betty Wilson, Litita Ried and husband, Jay, all of Parkersburg; several cousins, nieces and nephews, and a very special friend, Monica.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Owen and Hattie (Comedy) Turner and maternal grandparents, Harold and Margaret Jones.
