William was the third child (twin to Kent R.) born of twelve known children and the third son of four born to Private Andrew Jackson Kinser and Mary Ann Henderson.

Newt was a lifelong farmer , farming from a young boy with his father, Andrew. He farmed mostly in Burnet County, Texas.

There are no records that he ever married.
