Mrs. Clara "Ann" Rogers, age 69, of Meadow Lake Dr., Carrollton, GA, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010 in a local hospital. She was born September 24, 1941 in Thomas County, GA, daughter of the late John L. Dekle and Alice Bobo Dekle. Mrs. Rogers retired from Bell South after a 33 year career as a service rep and was currently employed by Carrollton High School in the food services department. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clement Alfred Rogers, III; sisters, Geneva Flowers, Sarah Trueluck and Mary Bass; brothers, Benjamin Dekle and Donald Dekle. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ann Elise & Tony Thomas; grandsons, Heath Anthony Thomas and Tyler Nathan Thomas; brother and sister-in-law, Simeon & Nell Dekle; and sister-in-law, Marie Dekle. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 19, 2010 at 2 PM from Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Bro. Shane Roberson officiating. Interment will follow on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 1 PM in the Evergreen Baptish Church Cemetery, 3241 Dixie Barwick Rd., Dixie, GA.
