A private burial will be held in Carlsbad Cemetery for Alice Bertha Britt, 76, 308 Jewel St., who died Saturday in a Roswell hospital.
An informal gathering of friends and relatives will be held Monday between 7-9 p.m. at Denton Funeral Home.
She was a member of the Baptist Church and the American Legion auxiliary. She moved here from Henderson, Nev.
Survivors include three sons, Lonnie Nixon, Longmont, Colo., Joe Nixon, San Antonio, Texas and Calvin Nixon, Crockett, Texas; two daughters, Sue Holcombe, Grandview, Mo. and Polly Roberson, Saudi Arabia; two sisters, Pauline Bruce, Childress, Texas and Gertrude Hodges, Post, Texas; 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to the Guadalupe Medical Center Auxiliary scholarship fund.
