Freada Alnora Rhoades Mattocks, 78, of Swamp Road, Utica, passed away at home on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010.

She was born June 14, 1932, in Venango County, a daughter of Raymond and Roxie Rhoades. She was married to Charles W. Mattocks Sr. on Jan. 18, 1957, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2001.

She enjoyed quilting, crafting and canning. She loved gospel and country music, and her pets

She is survived by her daughter, Mildred (Millie) Mattocks of Saegertown; two sons, Charles W. Mattocks Jr. of Guys Mills and Donald R. Mattocks of Utica; eight sisters, Helen Nemeth of Cochranton, Ruth Richards of Cochranton, Ruby Reed of Sandy Lake, Shirley Rhoades of Utica, Martha Kline of Titusville, Florence Rhoades of Polk, Jean Kline of Titusville and Marian Runyan of Cochranton; and two brothers, Clifford Rhoades of Utica and Russell Rhoades of Deckards.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant son, Robert; brother Ralph Rhoades and sister Janet Rhoades.

Calling hours are Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home Inc., 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Marshall Lillie of Hospice of Crawford County officiating.

Interment will be at Kiser Hill Cemetery.
