Death Claims T. Armstrong;Rites Saturday

T.R. Armstrong,78,well known merchant in Union City,died last night at 9:30 o'clock at his residence at 202 Walnut street after an illness of ten years.

He was born in Union County,Ind.,on January 22, 1866,the son of Francis and Ardelia (Wakely) Armstrong. He attended school in Ohio, and was married to Ida May Bell at Hamilton.

Before coming to Union City he operated a meat market in Ridgeville,Ind. About 29 years ago he moved to Union City and for many years operated Armstrong's Meat Market on East Elm street. He was a member of the United Brethren church.

Besides his wife he leaves on daughter,Mrs. Fredette B. Heaton,at home;and one son,*Frank L. Armstrong of Skokie,ILL.;three grandchildren,Mrs. Martha Frank and Mrs. Eleanor Frank,both of Dayton;and Jill Armstrong of Skokie,ILL,;three great grandchildren;one sister and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at the Fraze funeral home at 10:30 a.m. with REv. R. G. Ditmyer officiating. Burial will be at the Lawndale cemetery at Deerfield,Ind. Friends may call at the funeral home.
