JESSE KELLER DIES AT HOME IN CHESTERTON – Jesse Keller, age forty years, residing on 14th street, Chesterton, died Thursday evening at 11:30 o'clock in St. Margaret's hospital, Hammond, following a several days' illness. He was taken to the hospital last Sunday suffering from streptoconic infection of the nose.

The decedent was born on April 28, 1896, in Green county, Tenn., and had been a resident of Chesterton for the last ten years. He was employed as a telegraph operator for the New York Central railroad.

He was a World war veteran and a member of the American Legion of Chesterton. He was also affiliated with the Porter Evangelical church and the United American Union order.

Surviving are the widow, Irene, to whom he was married 17 years ago; a daughter, Frances, his aged mother, Mrs. Alice Keller of Knoxville, Tenn.; two sisters, Mrs. J. C. Fisher, of Chesterton and Mrs. A. Phipps, of Knoxville, Tenn., and two brothers, Charles Keller of Knoxville, Tenn., and James Keller of Chicago. His father died five months ago at Knoxville, Tenn.

Memorial services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, fast time, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Fisher, in Chesterton, and at 3 o/clock, fast time, at the Porter Evangelical church, Rev. T. S. Young officiating. Burial will be in Chesterton cemetery.
