She married Carroll Jenkins Farrell on May 7, 1949 in Washington, DC, and he preceded her in death
She is survived by her children: Jane Farrell, Darlene Quade and Ronnie Farrell and her brother Calvin Dickenson; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son Thomas Farrell; siblings: Daniel Dickenson, Jr., Louis Dickenson, Bruce Dickenson, Margaret Cooper, Odotha Dickenson, Bobby Dickenson and Lee Dickenson.
Opal moved to St. Mary's County in 1973 from Forestville, MD. She enjoyed playing slot machines, bingo and cards, dancing, and spending time with her family.
Pallbearers were Joey Goldsborough, James Cage, Thomas Abell, Jr., John Daras, Tim O'Brien and Larry Jagar. Honorary Pallbearer will be Lewis Quade, Jr.
