Ida was the daughter of Hiram B. Hopkins and his 2nd wife Nancy Marie Houck/Huyck (1827-1857). From Nancy's dates, it appears that she died giving birth to Ida or shortly thereafter. Ida was raised by FOSTER parents Andrew M. Greenlee & Ann Eliz Houck/Huyck (probably Nancy's
sister). So even though her maiden name is recorded as Greenlee on some of her childrens' documents, she was actually born a Hopkins.
